Adèle de Batz de Trenquelléon is well known in the Marianist Family as the founder of the Marianist Sisters. Perhaps not as well known is her gift of staying in community and communication through writing letters. We have published a book/journal entitled, God Alone, Thoughts from Adèle (http://www.nacms.org/nacmswebpage/book/BkStr.asp) filled with excerpts of her letters for daily reflection. If you would like to hear her reflections, please click on the posted audio file for the month of June. Enjoy.

On June 10th we celebrate the 220th anniverary of the birth of Adèle de Batz de Trenquelléon. She is well-known for building community through her prolific letter wriitng. We believe if she were alive today, she would take full advantage of technology to invite as many people as she could to gather in community to pray and minister to those who are less fortunate. So to acknowledge and continue the gifts given to us by Adèle, we felt this would be an approporiate day to launch our new blog/audio file account. Attached is an audio recording of the letter in which Adèle wrote her often quoted, “O my God, my heart is too small to love you, but it will see to it that you are loved by so many hearts that their love will compensate for the weakness of mine.” Enjoy, and as you remember Adèle today, take some time to write a friend and tell them how much they mean to you.
